Guillem Balague confirms Fellaini’s transfer fee to Chinese Club: report

Manchester United’s January transfer window has been extremely quiet, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men clearly choosing to stick with what they have rather than investing in the playing squad.

However, yesterday, reports emerged that United were considering dealing Marouane Fellaini to an unnamed Chinese club. Their transfer window actually doesn’t close until the end of February, so there is still time aplenty for the deal to go through.

Now Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has given his take, and he seems to think that the transfer is already done, with United to get around £7million in terms of transfer fee for the Belgium international. As for Fellaini himself, he’ll be netting a hefty wage packet…

You know what, good luck to him. I know Fellaini wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea at the Theatre of Dreams, but you cannot fault his attitude. During his time here, he remained fully committed to the cause and he always gave his all every single time he took to the field.

This is the final chance he had at taking a big-money contract elsewhere and no doubt Fellaini will be worshipped in China, whereas United, playing time under Solskjaer is by no means guaranteed.

All the best, Fella!
