Manchester United are on the verge of signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund this summer, as he looks like being Jose Mourinho’s second new addition to the squad. It is extremely evident just how badly he wants to make the move to Old Trafford, too…
That’s according to Kicker in Germany (via 101GreatGoals), they say that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is so keen on a switch to the Theatre of Dreams, that he could well be paying some of the £26.3million transfer to seal the move out of his own pocket!
The Armenian has just twelve months remaining on his current deal out in Dortmund, and it’s clear that he wants to move away from the Westfalonstadion this summer.
Dortmund’s stance has always been clear – pay their asking price or don’t land Henrikh Mkhitaryan. As you’d imagine, the German side don’t care where the money comes from, and if they get the desired fee then they will let him leave.
It looks as though Manchester United have offered enough to land the 27-year-old, and what a brilliant piece of business it could be for Jose Mourinho.
