Manchester United’s biggest game of the season is just on the horizon, as Jose Mourinho prepares his players to take on Liverpool at Anfield.

Ahead of that match, though, the Red Devils’ problems are mounting. Now, a report from the Manchester Evening News is claiming that Mourinho could be without as many as NINE players for Sunday’s showdown…

Let’s start with the definites. Victor Lindelof is out, as is Alexis Sanchez, with the man from Chile not set to play again in 2018.

Then you have Luke Shaw, who aggravated an injury while in the pre-match warm-ups for the Fulham game on Saturday. In the same game, Chris Smalling hobbled off with injury, while both Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial sat that one out…

Diogo Dalot is apparently struggling with an unspecified injury problem, while Scott McTominay picked up a knock in training before the Valencia game. During the Champions League encounter in Spain, Marcos Rojo was substituted at half-time, and Mourinho has subsequently told the media that the Argentine is also injured.

Hopefully, at least a few of these guys can pull through and make themselves available, as we’re certainly going to need it…
