Hull City make bizarre enquiry to sign Manchester United 24-year-old

Manchester United could be about to sell a whole host of players under Jose Mourinho, as he looks set to trim the squad and bring in players who fit his style of play. Hull City, who have recently been promoted to the Premier League, have made an enquiry for a Manchester United star.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say that if Steve Bruce does remain in charge of Hull come the start of next season, he is keen on bringing in Manchester United’s Phil Jones.

Jones, 24, hasn’t had the best time of things recently, and injuries definitely have hampered him over the last twelve months. It must have been a massive blow for him to barely get any minutes on the pitch, but now he will be looking forward to life under Mourinho.

I just find this rumour ridiculous. Jose Mourinho is believed to really like Phil Jones‘ style of play, and even if Jones did leave the club, he’d certainly set his sights higher than Hull City…
