Injury blow as 20-year-old Manchester United defender suffers shoulder dislocation

Manchester United Football Club have always been renowned for producing young talented footballers. That’s a mantra that is still going strong.

One top talent currently on the books is Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The Dutchman, 20, is spending this season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League; his second consecutive short-term deal with another top-flight English side.

However, after a strong start, the right-back has suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder, the Manchester Evening News report. Fosu-Mensah was stretchered off the pitch in a 3-0 loss to Everton – after landing awkwardly on his arm.

He just cannot catch a break at the moment. Fosu-Mensah is a top talent, and when he seems to be back on the right path, injury strikes.

At this point, we’re unsure as to how long he’ll be sidelined for, but a dislocated shoulder is hardly an injury you can play through… It just depends on the severity of the issue. Obviously, after an awkward landing, the area will no doubt be feeling a little tender.

Hopefully, it isn’t anything too serious and he isn’t out of action for all that long. There is an international break coming up after the next round of fixtures. Perhaps that’s a good time to target a return.
