Injury concern as Five Man United players miss training pre-Valencia game

For Manchester United, qualification to the Champions League last sixteen has already been secured. However, with a huge game against Liverpool on the horizon, several members of the Red Devils squad could be playing for a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.

Before the lads flew out to Valencia to take on the Spanish giants, the self-proclaimed Special One could have a mini injury crisis on his hands…

According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, no fewer than five regular Reds missed training at the Aon Training Complex today…

Personally, I hope that Mourinho is playing mind-games and holding a few of these guys back. Dalot simply has to start against Liverpool, as do both Martial and Shaw if they’re fit…

The main problem has to be Shaw, as he was originally named a sub for the game against Fulham at the weekend but had to withdraw with injury. As for Smalling, who knows how serious the problem is? There were stories floating around suggesting that he has a fractured foot, so he may well be out for a while…
