Manchester United football is finally close to returning, as Jose Mourinho prepares to take on a Crystal Palace team who we simply have to be beating.
Before then, though, England had one final game to play. It was a match they had to win to ensure progression into the UEFA Nations League final four. The Three Lions found themselves 1-0 down, enter Jesse Lingard.
Within minutes of getting on the pitch, the Englishman scored a tap-in to draw England level, before helping his team turn things around completely as Harry Kane scored the winner.
Shortly after the victory, Lingard took to social media to hilariously react to scoring a tap-in ‘for once’…

It’s true that Lingard usually only scores bangers. Just look at the screamer he scored last time out against the United States, while the majority of his United goals have been world-class strikes, too…
The best thing about this is the fact that United will be getting a Lingard back who is feeling fitter with more confidence under his belt. Hopefully, he’s in the starting line-up against Palace at the weekend as his movement, ability to create chances out of nothing and sheer determination, could well help swing the game in our favour.
