Manchester United’s away form has been somewhat bizarrely better than our home form this season, and Mourinho will be hoping for another away victory this weekend. The game is against Sunderland, who themselves are desperate for points as they are in a relegation dogfight.
Adnan Januzaj has become the forgotten man at Old Trafford since his loan move to Saturday’s opponents. He’ll obviously be unavailable for them this weekend, as loan players aren’t able to take part in a competitive game against their former club.
Mourinho met the media ahead of the game, to discuss a whole host of topics.
The press asked whether Jose has made a decision regarding the long-term future of Adnan Januzaj, and the gaffer responded:
“Yes. I have decided.” The Daily Star quote the manager as saying.
“Can I say what it is? Not to you!”
It’s only fair that the gaffer is keeping his cards close to his chest right now. At the end of the day, there is still plenty of time left in this season and what’s the point in giving Januzaj something else to think about.
In my opinion, I just don’t think Mourinho believes the Belgian has a future at Old Trafford. Honestly, he hasn’t really impressed whilst playing for Sunderland and that’s a proper shame. I cannot see where he’ll fit into an already packed squad, and I firmly think the writing is on the wall for the 22-year-old.
