Jose Mourinho angry at Man United as two players without new contract offers: report

Jose Mourinho is unhappy with Manchester United Football Club, as talks are yet to get underway regarding new deals for both Marcos Rojo and Anthony Martial.

That’s what the Daily Mail says anyway, per the Daily Mirror. Both Rojo and Martial are out of contract next summer, and clearly, the self-proclaimed Special One wants to avoid any problems, and doesn’t want to risk losing two integral players on free transfers.

Talks were held back in December regarding penning new contracts but we’re now two months down the line and neither have signed on the dotted line. Obviously, that’s worrying Mourinho, because by the time the summer rolls around, they’ll be into the final twelve months of their respective deals.

In Rojo’s case, he has only just returned back from a cruciate injury so I can sort of understand why that deal would be delayed. Not Martial, though. This young man is truly world-class, and he’s improving week-on-week, it’s crucial that we tie him down to a new, lengthy deal soon, because losing him on a free would be an absolute travesty.

There is no need for immediate panic, though, as the club have an option to extend Martial’s contract for a further year if they so choose.
