Jose Mourinho is becoming equally frustrated with Edward Woodward regarding transfers at Manchester United, the Daily Mirror reports.
As we all know, the Red Devils boss loves to bring in ready-made players who can come into the team and affect things straight away, while Edward Woodward is annoying the self-proclaimed Special One, by suggesting younger, cheaper alternatives.
Furthermore, Mourinho has told United board members to go out and sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, whereas Woodward has told him that he’ll have to offload players before making a huge January splurge.
If we’re being honest, United are miles behind City, both on and off the pitch at the moment. We’ve spent money aplenty under Mourinho, but City have spent more, with the blues tending to be getting more productivity out of the players they’ve acquired.
I don’t think the issue lies solely with spending, because the money has been there, but the Glazer family should firmly put their trust in Mourinho; a man who’s probably the best manager the Premier League has seen since his arrival over a decade ago.
It will certainly be interesting to see exactly how this one plays out, but I don’t expect United to be making any signings until the summer.
