Manchester United have parted ways with Andreas Pereira for the time being. The clever little Brazilian has gone back to Spain on loan for another year; this time with Valencia CF. Personally, I was a bit disappointed when the news broke because I thought he would have been a good squad player.
However, Jose Mourinho is the absolute master when it comes to man-management and we have to trust his judgement 100%. There is absolutely nothing better for players than playing every single weekend and no doubt he’ll get that in La Liga.
For the time being, the Red Devils are playing great without Pereira in the squad, and it’d probably be hard for him to get a start in anything other than the Carabao Cup.
Now, Mourinho has been speaking to the media pre-Stoke City, and although he’s confirmed his disappointment at the fact that the 21-year-old has left the Theatre of Dreams, it’s good that he has an option to bring Pereira back on January 1st if he so chooses.
“I’m a bit disappointed that he left,” admitted the boss, as per ManUtd.com. “But, okay, it was his decision. I open the door for his decision. He has a long-term contract and we have an option to bring him back on 1 January, so we have that situation under control.”
On top of that, the self-proclaimed Special One has added that it was the players choice to go elsewhere and play regularly and you certainly have to admire that decision.
As the gaffer says, the situation is in the hand of the club due to the fact that he has a long-term contract at the Theatre of Dreams and he will be returning at some point in the not too distant future.
