Jose Mourinho confirms when we should expect Paul Pogba back from injury

Manchester United managed to take a point away from The Etihad Stadium on Thursday evening, with the Red Devils putting in a solid defensively display. At the end of the day, a point is better than nothing, and it definitely helps us in our quest for a spot in the top four.

For that match, we had to do without the services of a certain Paul Pogba who picked up an injury in the game previous. It was clear that his creativity and ingenuity when in possession was a big miss, as the likes of Marouane Fellaini just couldn’t play that killer through ball.

Now, Jose Mourinho has offered an update on when we can expect the 24-year-old back. Although he won’t play against Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday, the Frenchman will be back in time to take on Celta Vigo in the semi-final of the Europa League.

“For Celta,” Mourinho told reporters, including the Manchester Evening News.

To be honest, I’m glad he isn’t being rushed back. Our run-in is tough and we need as many people available as possible. We don’t want to bring him back too early and then lose him again for an even longer period of time.

Against Swansea, Mourinho must be sweating on who exactly we can play in that area of the field, particularly with Marouane Fellaini now banned. We could be in for a fun weekend…
