Manchester United Football Club already sealed one signing, in the form of Victor Lindelof. The club now have to push on and further bolster their squad before the start of the 2017/18 campaign, and one name that has cropped up is that of Ivan Perisic.
Now Gazzetta dello Sport, as per The Metro, are claiming that Manchester United are eager to complete a move for the 28-year-old before United’s pre-season tour kicks off next month.
It is thought that United saw a £35million offer rejected, and Inter Milan have told them that they’ll have to up that to £44million to get their man. However, the Serie A side are under pressure to part with one of their big-money assets, as to ensure they meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
United’s first pre-season tour game takes place on July 15th which is just over three weeks away, so there is still time for a move to happen, but Edward Woodward will have to act fast.
I guess that if a Perisic deal is completed sooner rather than later, it’ll give the Croatian more time to bed in and get to know his new teammates which is obviously essential. Honestly, when you’re as rich as United I’d just up the offer to whatever Milan are asking. The left-winger is obviously a top target, so why not just get the deal done rather than beating around the bush.
