Jose Mourinho identifies trio of Man Utd players he wants to sell

Manchester United have welcomed Jose Mourinho in as their new manager, with huge things expected from the self-proclaimed Special One. The transfer window isn’t officially open yet, but that hasn’t stopped Jose making transfer plans.

According to the Spanish media outlet Sport, Mourinho has already drawn up a list of players that he wants to sell at Old Trafford – and it isn’t pretty reading for Juan Mata, Daley Blind and Memphis Depay.

Juan Mata departing from the Theatre of Dreams always looked like an inevitability as soon as the Mourinho move was confirmed. The pair didn’t really get on at Chelsea and you’d expect him to already be on the hunt for a new club.

The other two are odd, though. Daley Blind has been Manchester United’s Mr Reliable this season, and has been outstanding for the most part. It would be a shame to see him go.

As for Memphis Depay, the world is his oyster. The 22-year old has an abundance of talent if he applies himself properly, and I’d be very surprised if Jose Mourinho didn’t give him at least a season to prove his worth.
