Manchester United’s Luke Shaw was involved in an incredible training ground bust-up with Jose Mourinho, before the Red Devils played Brighton & Hove Albion. That’s what The Sun writes in an exclusive.
Shaw was hauled off in the FA Cup quarter-final at half-time, but before that, he had demanded a meeting with the manager, in which he wanted assurances about his future.
Apparently, Mourinho flew off the handle at Shaw, with the player now convinced that he has no future at Old Trafford following the bust-up.
Honestly, I get the impression that this has been a long time coming. For whatever reason, the manager has used Shaw sparingly ever since he took over at the Theatre of Dreams, and I’ve just always thought that the former Southampton man has never fully earned Mourinho’s trust.
It seems to be all over for Shaw. Sure, injuries haven’t helped his cause whatsoever, but he just hasn’t done enough to convince anyone that he deserves to start as the left-back for probably the biggest club in the country. Perhaps what he needs is a move to a club that won’t have a spotlight on him where he can regain his confidence and form, but unfortunately, it just hasn’t worked out at Manchester United.
