Jose Mourinho likely to keep his job due to one key reason: report

Manchester United’s start to the season has been nothing short of diabolical. In fact, it’s the worst start to a Premier League campaign ever…

In large part, the blame is on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders. As the referee called time on United’s drab 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace, boos rang out around Old Trafford – and it’s fairly easy to see why.

As you’d imagine, that led to fans questioning whether Mourinho should lose his job. With each passing game, it feels like more supporters are jumping on that bandwagon. However, it doesn’t look like the self-proclaimed Special One is to lose his job just yet…

That’s according to the brilliant Andy Mitten, who says that United aren’t planning on sacking Mourinho just yet – particularly as it’s still mathematically possible to finish in the top four.

As soon as that becomes impossible, things may be different as it’d be cheaper to dismiss the man from Portugal. Right now, if the club made the decision to dismiss their manager, it’d cost £14million. You’d imagine when that clause comes into effect, it’d be considerably cheaper to let Mourinho go…

So for now, it looks as though we’re stuck with the drab football that’s currently on offer. To be brutally honest, I’m not sure who you’d replace him with anyway.
