Jose Mourinho praises reported Manchester United transfer target

Manchester United Football Club take on Everton this evening, in a game that the Red Devils simply have to win if they are to continue with hopes of finishing in the top four. Ahead of that, though, attentions have turned to the summer transfer window.

In an interview, Jose Mourinho was asked about his thoughts on a certain Victor Lindelof, whom Manchester United were heavily linked with during the January transfer window.

The self-proclaimed Special One went on to praise the Portuguese centre-back, as he claimed Lindelof is a ‘good guy’, not before he stated he obviously knows about his fellow countryman.

“Obviously. I know all the players in Portugal.” Mourinho told Swedish outlet Viasat, translated by The Metro. “Yes, he’s a good guy.”

At the end of the day, Jose Mourinho chose not to pursue his interest in Lindelof over the January, and in my opinion, that’s probably because he was content with his current options.

However, following the recent injuries and poor performances from both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, our gaffer could well be considering his options when the summer transfer window comes around.

Is Victor Lindelof the right man? Personally, I don’t know and I haven’t seen him play that much, but if Jose Mourinho likes him, then I have 100% confidence in the manager.
