Jose Mourinho provides early team news, confirms superstar will start vs Valencia

Manchester United finally recorded a much-needed Premier League win today, blitzing Fulham by a 4-1 scoreline.

The game itself was actually a rather exciting affair, with Jose Mourinho’s men being the dominant team right from the get-go. There was a different energy, a passion about proceedings, and with Paul Pogba remaining on the bench, question marks were raised.

Have no fear, though, as the Frenchman will start against Valencia CF this midweek when the Red Devils head to Spain, Mourinho confirmed.

He has the potential to be a fantastic player,” said Mourinho, per the BBC.

“Against Valencia he is going to start and he is going to have a fantastic game and to show everyone how good he is.”

I stand by the fact that Pogba is our most talented player, but sometimes, he just looks lazy and doesn’t show it. Without him in the side, the players just seem to look hungrier, more confident and overall, just better…

Anyway as Mourinho says, Pogba will get his chance. That’s the beautiful thing about football, there is always a next time. No doubt that now the 25-year-old has that fire and hunger in his belly, we’ll see better performances from him as he has something to strive for.

Make no mistake about it, though, winning his place back in the team will not be easy as both Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera played their best football this afternoon at Old Trafford.
