Manchester United Football Club looked in imperious form once again, with CSKA Moscow getting absolutely demolished in their own backyard. Jose Mourinho really does have the Red Devils playing the way that United should…
One situation that must be of slight concern to the self-proclaimed Special One is the injury situation. Obviously, Paul Pogba is out of action, now, Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick all missed out on the trip to Russia. On top of that, Anthony Martial limped out of the 4-1 drubbing in the Champions League.
After the fixture, the manager met the media to offer an update on the injury. Journalist Simon Stone quoted Mourinho speaking to BT, saying that Carrick is out of the Crystal Palace fixture, there are ‘many doubts’ about Jones’ availability and Fellaini is ‘just a hope’.
Jose to BT on injuries for Sat: "Carrick no chance. Jones many doubts. Fellaini just a hope."

This has to be a worry. Yes, that’s why you have a squad of players but as of right now, the only midfielders we have fit and available are Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera.
Jones has been phenomenal at the start of the season, and one of Victor Lindelof or Chris Smalling will have to come in and play in his absence. Herrera will also start alongside Matic, but it’s concerning that they both played 90 minutes on Wednesday and they’ll now have to get themselves geared up to play another 90 on Saturday. Hopefully, the lads can come through relatively unscathed and we can head into the international break on the back of another victory.
