Manchester United Football Club have turned down several loan approaches for James Wilson, according to the Daily Mail. The report claims that Jose Mourinho is keen on keeping the Englishman at Old Trafford as he wants to keep an eye on his recovery from injury.
The 21-year-old has been forgotten about recently, largely due to the fact that he has been out on loan and has spent a lot of time out injured. However, he made a surprise comeback for United’s U23 team last week – a game in which he started.
It really has been a rather odd professional career for the young man to date. Of course, he started out by scoring twice on his full debut against Hull City and we all expected big things from him. However, it’s all gone downhill since then.
What’s worth mentioning is the fact that he is still so young. At 21, he still has plenty of time to develop, grow and mature both in his body and as a player so I wouldn’t give up on Wilson right now. But, he has to put the injuries behind him and focus on getting his career back on track at the Theatre of Dreams.
