Jose Mourinho rejects Wolves’ move for starlet after treatment of Borthwick-Jackson

Remember Cameron Borthwick-Jackson? Manchester United’s left-back who has spent the first part of this season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, the young Mancunian has barely played for the Midlands club, and now Jose has gotten some revenge for that.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Jose Mourinho has rejected Wolves’ approach for Sam Johnstone, who they wanted on an emergency loan deal due to injuries to both of their keepers.

The report says that Mourinho decided to reject the move as punishment, as the Championship side have rarely used Cameron Borthwick-Jackson during his loan spell with them.

In my opinion, this is well within Manchester United’s rights. Jose isn’t forced to do business with anyone, and I’m sure they’ll be another offer coming in for Sam Johnstone in due time, because he’s a highly talented keeper.

Borthwick-Jackson went to Wolves on the back of an excellent debut season for Manchester United. He made plenty of appearances under Louis van Gaal, and make a real good impression amongst the fans. However, Paul Lambert (Wolves boss) clearly doesn’t fancy the 19-year-old, after he has made just seven appearances since his move in August.
