Well, what a great result for the Red Devils last night. Manchester United stuck three past Saint-Etienne to win the first leg comfortably, giving us that breathing room heading into the game in France next week. This is exactly what Jose would’ve wanted, particularly with the EFL Cup final coming next Sunday.
When the teams were announced, there was somewhat of a surprise omission from the squad as Henrikh Mkhitaryan wasn’t involved at all. It didn’t take the manager long to tell us all why though, and he confirmed that the Armenian missed out due to an illness. That’s according to Man United’s official Twitter feed anyway.

The 27-year-old Armenian has really grown into his role at Manchester United, and right now, he’s definitely one of our key players. His movement, flair, pace and ability on the ball is just sheer class, and hopefully, this problem isn’t too serious and he’s back in the not too distant future.
Thankfully it’s only an illness, so you’d imagine it won’t keep him out for too long. I’ve no doubts that he’ll be desperate to play in the EFL Cup final that is on the horizon, and I bet he’s working hard to get back for that.
