Jose Mourinho is set to recall Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the starting line-up for Manchester United’s game against Bristol City, according to Sky Sports News.
After some scintillating form at the start of the season, including picking up five assists in the Premier League, the 28-year-old has fallen out of favour with the manager and hasn’t featured for United over the last month.
Now the former Borrusia Dortmund star has been handed a huge opportunity to prove that his hunger and desire to play for Manchester United is still there.
We’ve missed his creativity and attacking talent over the last few games, and no doubt he would have had a huge part to play in games such as Manchester City at home.
I think it’s pretty obvious that Mourinho lost his trust in the Armenia attacker, and that will take some time to win back – just ask Luke Shaw…
With that said, I still have faith in Mkhitaryan to turn it around. He’s a fantastic player, and we’re lacking a quality option for the right-hand side, so that’s probably where his chance at redemption will come from.
