Jose Mourinho set to hold showdown talks with Manchester United squad: report

Manchester United Football Club is undergoing a tough time at the moment, and with that in mind, Jose Mourinho is ready to hold showdown talks with the players.

That’s the view of The Sun, per The Metro, who say that the self-proclaimed Special One is set to meet with his squad this week, in a bid to save their season.

After crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of Sevilla, the only trophy the Red Devils can win this season is the FA Cup, and the manager is after to speaking to the players in an attempt to win back their trust.

Understandably, the gaffer wants his players fully focused for the remainder of the season, and the squad will have to be at their best if they are to stand any chance of beating Tottenham Hotspur in the cup semi-final.

To me, it feels like the players’ confidence in the manager has wavered slightly, which is an obvious concern. However, Mourinho is a world-class coach with a huge reputation, and he should be able to talk them round and get the lads fully concentrated on the task at hand.
