Jose Mourinho singles out Manchester United star for individual faults in unfair manner

Manchester United Football Club just haven’t been good enough recently, and it’s as simple as that. The players don’t look bothered, and don’t seem all that interested in playing for the shirt – which is the most disappointing aspect of the whole situation at this moment in time.

However, one man who doesn’t deserve the abuse from everyone is Henrikh Mkhitaryan. This is a man who has barely featured since signing from Borussia Dortmund over the summer, and Jose Mourinho didn’t hold back when speaking about the Armenian in his press conference after the match.

“Mkhitaryan has to do more. It’s as simple as that. We have big expectations at the club & lots of players for that position.” Jose Mourinho is quoted as saying.

At the end of the day, this is a man who has been injured, and coming into the game short on confidence. The manager chucked him on as a final roll of the dice at 2-0 down, and expected him to work wonders.

Alright, he wasn’t great and didn’t’ cover himself in glory, but to single him out for stick isn’t great man management at all. Yes, we have to improve individually and collectively, but talk about it behind closed doors rather than leaving him out to dry.
