Jose Mourinho’s thoughts on Paul Pogba situation unearthed, manager set to address issue this week: report

Following Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City, fans were left somewhat curious when Paul Pogba hinted at major unhappiness with Jose Mourinho.

Now, the Daily Telegraph’s sources are telling them that Mourinho has been ‘left bemused’ with the French midfielder, with the self-proclaimed Special One set to address the issue during his pre-Brighton press-conference.

Apparently, Mourinho knows that he can be proactive at times, particularly in the media, but he expects his players to speak with those issues to him face-to-face, rather than raising the problems in the media and drawing attention to the scenario that is playing out.

I love Pogba. He’s a brilliant player who donned the captain’s armband proudly on Friday night. These remarks were just stupid, though. They’re good for nobody, and all it’ll do is keep the vultures that is the media circling – while only having a negative effect on the dressing room.

The timing is just all wrong. If he’s not happy, why not air it early in the transfer window like Anthony Martial did? Now, he’s stuck here until at least January. My only thinking behind it is the fact that the player may well feel he can outlast the manager. Good luck with that, though…
