Manchester United are ready to part ways with Juan Mata, as a January bid from Juventus looms, according to The Mirror. Juan Mata cost United a huge £37.1m back in January, but could be set to leave United after less than a year at the club, because of the big-money signings including the likes of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao.
In terms of a transfer fee, no direct figures are mentioned by The Mirror, but you’d imagine Manchester United are set to make a loss on the 25-year old playmaker. Theres no way we’ll make a profit on him, and we’ll honestly do well to recoup anything over £30million on the Spaniard.
Whilst it’ll be sad to watch Juan Mata leave, I honestly reckon that its best for everyone involved. I doubt he’ll be in the starting XI for the next game against QPR, and you struggle to see how he’ll break back into the line-up barring injury.
His departure would also mean more playing time for Adnan Januzaj, who’s talent is unquestionable, and the only way he’ll develop is by minutes on the pitch.
