Kevin Strootman tells AS Roma he wants Manchester United move

AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has told club officials that he would like to join Manchester United in January if a move becomes an option. Goal.com reckon Strootman wants to be reunited with Louis van Gaal, and Manchester United are prepared to more than treble his current £25,000-a-week salary.

Strootman, 24, missed the World Cup in the summer after suffering ligament damage, leading to then Dutch coach Louis van Gaal changing his tactics to the 3-5-2 purely because of that injury. We’re still one world-class midfielder light at the moment, and theres no doubting that Strootman could surely fill that void.

If true, its promising to see that, despite Roma’s excellent performances domestically and in the Champions League too, Strootman still wants a move to Old Trafford. Manchester United are a team in transition, but under Louis van Gaal’s guidance i’m pretty certain that we’re bound to be fighting for the top spot in England and Europe in the not too distant future.

Would Kevin Strootman be a good addition? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
