Manchester United’s short tour of China will certainly be one to forget for the players and coaches alike, with a 4-1 thumping by Dortmund followed up by a cancellation against City. However, that is in the past, and its time to move forward – next up, Galatasaray on Saturday.
Ahead of that game, the Guardian have reported that five key players will begin training today, and could well feature in the aforementioned match.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial have all returned to action – giving the squad a much-improved look as we near the start of the season proper.
This will likely be the first time we’ll see Ibrahimovic take to the field as a Manchester United player, and what a real period of excitement for everyone involved with the club.
Hopefully these players can come in and make a real impression on the new boss Jose Mourinho, as you’d imagine at least a few of these could well be regulars under the self-proclaimed Special One when the Premier League campaign gets underway.
