Just a couple of days ago, we covered a story from Foot Mercato in which it was claimed that Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was viewed as the ‘perfect prototype’ to replace Paul Pogba.

Anyone who has been following the rumours will know that Lazio aren’t prepared to let their man leave cheaply. Thankfully, we have been given a rough price as to how much United would expect to pay; and it isn’t cheap.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio have stuck a €100m (£87m) price-tag on the Serbian midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for the last few summers…

Aged 25 now, it feels only a matter of time before Milinkovic-Savic does make the move away from Lazio and the Serie A. After a bit of a down year last term, he’s back to his best during this campaign as Lazio push the league leaders Juventus all the way.

To me, it feels an inevitability that Pogba is going to leave sooner rather than later. I like the fact that United are planning ahead and looking at the big-name midfielders who’re out there who can replace the Frenchman’s production.

I feel as though Milinkovic-Savic probably isn’t that guy as he’s just too expensive for the sort of figures he’s producing. I guess it all comes down to just how much Solskjaer likes him as a player…
