Leicester determined not to sell Harry Maguire to Man United because of one key reason: report

Manchester United Football Club have remained largely stagnant in the transfer market, but it looks as though a move for Harry Maguire could well be in the offing.

However, it looks as though Leicester City are doing all they can to keep ahold of the 25-year-old centre-half. According to James Ducker, The Foxes are reluctant to sell due to the fact that they’ve already sold one big name, Riyad Mahrez, during this transfer window.

The Algeria superstar was sold to Manchester City in a £60million deal, and to keep their fans on side, it’d probably be best if they were to avoid parting with another fan favourite.

Ducker also goes on to add that Maguire isn’t likely to try and force a move away from the King Power, which makes sense, given he only joined Leicester twelve months ago. After an excellent season domestically, backed up by a brilliant World Cup for England, interest in ‘Slab Head’ is understandably rising.

In terms of centre-halves, he’d be perfect. Maguire is strong, tough in the tackle, great in the air and he will play out from the back. However, Edward Woodward better delve deep into those pockets if the deal is to happen this summer. Leicester seem pretty adamant that he’s not going anywhere.
