Louis van Gaal all set for Manchester United

Despite Ryan Giggs guiding Manchester United to their biggest Old Trafford win of the season, it looks as though Louis van Gaal will be taking permanent charge come the start of next season. The majority of the morning papers suggest the deal is all but done, and an announcement could be imminent.

Van Gaal himself is believed to want the deal all finalised before the end of the season, so the 62-year old Dutchman can concentrate completely on Holland at the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

If you believe reports, united’s transfer targets have already been discussed with Van Gaal, and those will be pursued by the United board whilst the Amsterdam-born manager will try to guide Holland to major success in what looks like being his last competition with the Oranje.

If Ryan Giggs manages to guide United to four wins out of four, he’ll certainly give the board something to think about. However, the sensible thing would be to risk temptation of giving Giggs the job full-time, and letting him learn under the new managers guidance for a few years before Ryan eventually takes charge.
