Louis van Gaal claims he’d be happy with a point against Moscow

Manchester United head to Moscow tonight, to play their third Champions League group stage game, as they look to take command at the midway point. All four sides sit level on three points after two fixtures, and the manager has confirmed that he’d be happy with a draw this evening.

“I said before the away match against PSV Eindhoven, one point is good. Three points is better but one point is good,” Louis van Gaal said.

Although a point wouldn’t be the worst scenario in the world, three points could see us throw down a marker. With tougher tasks ahead against Wolfsburg and PSV, the double-header against CSKA Moscow should be seen as the opportunity to get wins on the board, and a victory tonight would be ideal.

Hopefully the lads can put in a good performance, and not be too affected by the long journey home ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday.
