Louis van Gaal confident of David de Gea stay

Manchester United have been handed a boost from their manager, as Louis van Gaal has said that there is ‘no problem’ for David de Gea to sign a new contract, that should keep him at Old Trafford for the next couple of seasons at the very least.

Louis van Gaal: “I think there is no problem for him [DDG] to sign. I can only say that De Gea has developed himself in the six months.”

The sooner Manchester United get David de Gea tied down to a new contract the better. As Victor Valdes said, he is probably the best keeper in the world right now based on current form, and it’d be ridiculous if United didn’t offer him whatever he wants to stay.

Even if we just get another couple of seasons out of him before he inevitably leaves for pastures new in Madrid, I think the United fans would be chuffed with that.
