Louis van Gaal confirms blow as duo not ready for spot in squad vs Liverpool

Manchester United Football Club have had plenty of injury problems of late, with Louis van Gaal’s side struggling for any kind of consistency in terms of the starting line-up. That isn’t about to change any time soon judging by Louis van Gaal’s worrying news in his pre-match press conference.

The Iron Tulip has confirmed that Manchester United will still be without Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young after their lengthy lay-offs, despite the fact that the pair have returned to first-team training.

Louis van Gaal has always been a big admirer of both of these players, largely due to their versatility and attacking mindset – particularly Ashley Young who has been an excellent stand-in left-back at times when that has been required.

Hopefully the pair can keep working hard and force their way back into contention before the end of the season, allowing them to get some minutes under their belt this term.
