Louis van Gaal explains why he thinks Manchester United are in trouble

Louis van Gaal met the media ahead of Manchester United’s game against Norwich City tomorrow, and the Iron Tulip was in fine form, speaking out about a variety of subjects. One topic was the current injury situation at Manchester United, and he claims we’re in trouble due to it.

“You are in trouble when you have to use too many youngsters. We have reached that point now in Manchester.” Louis van Gaal said.

Injuries have certainly hampered Louis van Gaal this season. Luke Shaw is done for the season, Antonio Valencia is out for the foreseeable future, and every week it seems as though we lose someone else for one reason or another.

However the silver lining has been the performances from many of our young stars. Jesse Lingard has done superbly, as has the likes of Anthony Martial, and in recent weeks Guillermo Varela.
