Louis van Gaal full of praise for Pereira after Premier League debut

Manchester United continued their tradition of developing their own talents and utilising them in the first team yesterday, as Andreas Pereria was given his Premier League debut during the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford yesterday evening.

The 19-year old is out of contract in the summer, and those few minutes given to him by the manager could possibly make him think twice about staying at Old Trafford rather than letting his deal expire.

“When you’re 19 and playing for Manchester United, you must be very talented. I’m pleased for him.” Van Gaal said.

There is no doubt that Pereira is talented young man, and if given the regular amount of game time whilst developing his talents, he could well spend his whole career under the Old Trafford floodlights.

The old saying from Sir Matt Bubsy always sticks in the mind at times like this, ‘don’t go chasing money too early, if you’re good enough to play at Manchester United, the money will find you’.
