Louis van Gaal gives positive injury update on defender

Manchester United overcame an extremely lacklustre Arsenal side yesterday afternoon, thanks to a stunning brace from Premier League debutant Marcus Rashford. During the game, Marcos Rojo hobbled off the pitch with what looked like a serious injury, however Louis van Gaal has eased a few fears.

“I don’t think it is serious, it was a kick. We have to wait and see, of course.” Louis van Gaal said.

If thats the case, its likely to be more of an impact injury rather than serious damage to any bones or muscle. These types of injuries can be really painful to begin with, but once the bruising and swelling goes down, it shouldn’t keep Rojo out for too long.

Our back line certainly needs some experience at the moment despite how well the youngsters have done, and Rojo is certainly a leader from the back. The sooner we have him involved again, the better it’ll be for the whole squad.
