Louis van Gaal brought in plenty of new faces over the summer, but his work at Old Trafford is clearly far from done as he enters the halfway point of his current term in Manchester. The Dutchman has been speaking to the media, and eyed an area of the field that clearly needs work.
“I have said already in my first year many times we need speed and creativity on the wings.” Louis van Gaal began. “I want to buy a lot of players but not all the players I want are for sale. So there’s a lot of factors in it.”
January is often regarded as a tough time to bring in new players. Clubs never want to sell their prized assets in the middle of the season for obvious reasons, and its very rare that players bought in January go on to succeed.
Louis van Gaal will obviously know this, and Manchester United are a club who have plenty of money so if the Dutchman can identify the right targets, we could see some new faces through the Old Trafford doors come February.
