Louis van Gaal makes Manchester United’s intentions clear

Manchester United got their pre-season underway with a 1-0 win against the Mexican side Club America, with Morgan Schneiderlin picking up a goal on his debut. After the game, Louis van Gaal gave an interview in which he made his thoughts and motives clear.

When asked about Manchester United’s transfer situation, Van Gaal said:

“We are not finished yet. I think we still need to improve two positions and we shall do that.” He added. “Manchester United shall only buy [a player] if he can make a positive contribution.”

Its nice to see that Louis van Gaal has one intention, and that is to make Manchester United a much stronger side in the transfer market. The Iron Tulip isn’t the kind of coach to just buy players for the sake of buying, and he will only buy if that player will improve the club as he sees fit.
