Manchester United Football Club have had an extremely busy day in the transfer market, selling plenty of players whilst bringing in Anthony Martial and Keylor Navas – despite those deals not being finalised they look extremely close.
According to the usually reliable Mark Ogden, Manchester United are now ‘ready to dispense’ with Marcos Rojo after just a year at the club.
Rojo signed from Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth around £14million, a move in which he had to force through himself due to Lisbon’s unwillingness to sell the World Cup star. It would be a bit bizarre to see him go, but you always felt that Louis van Gaal doesn’t fancy those South American players.
Marcos Rojo was one of the better performers from last season. His passion on the pitch was absolutely superb and there for all to see, and he always worse his heart on his sleeve.
If we sell him and persist with Daley Blind at centre-back that is definitely a cause for concern, but hopefully this latest rumour is exactly that, and doesn’t turn out to be true.
