Louis van Gaal refuses to praise midfielder following stunning derby performance

Manchester United Football Club won the midfield battle in the Manchester derby yesterday, and a large part of that was down to Morgan Schneiderlin. However Louis van Gaal wasn’t prepared to praise the 26-year old, as after last time he did that, Morgan didn’t perform so well!

“I won’t say that too loud as the last time I said I am very happy for Morgan Schneiderlin, after that he played not so well.” Van Gaal joked.

The Dutchman then went on to hint that Marouane Fellaini could be in line for a recall following the international break, as he needed a rest – which is obviously rather worrying.

On Morgan Schneiderlin, the French midfielder has been a revelation for United when he has played. He just loves doing the dirty work and he does it so well. Schneiderlin also can move forward with the ball which is something we haven’t really seen during his time at Old Trafford so far, but hopefully he’ll bring that to the table soon.
