Louis van Gaal will NOT rest Man Utd players for Bournemouth game

Despite having an FA Cup final to look forward to, and nothing to play for in the Premier League, Louis van Gaal will NOT be resting his regular starting XI, according to the Daily Mail. The reasoning behind it also hints that the Dutchman is preparing for life at Old Trafford next season.

The Mail say that Louis van Gaal is desperate to secure a victory tonight, so that his club don’t have to feature in the Europa League qualifying rounds which start in July.

Whilst the logic behind it makes sense in a way, United can also avoid the qualifying rounds with a win in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Unless he doesn’t think his side can win that match, it seems like he is preparing for the worst.

Personally I feel that the FA Cup should be prioritised at this point in time. Imagine if Manchester United get injuries to the likes of David de Gea, Anthony Martial or Chris Smalling? It’d certainly make Saturday’s showpiece a lot harder…
