Lukaku agrees personal terms with Juve ahead of proposed Man United exit: report

Romelu Lukaku has wanted to leave Manchester United all summer, that much is obvious to anyone who has been closely following the Red Devils over the last few months.

The striker hasn’t featured in pre-season once amid constant chatter about his future. No doubt his head isn’t fully in it at this point in time, which is fair enough.

At first it looked as though Inter Milan would eventually sign the Belgium international, but out of nowhere, Juventus have climbed to the top of the tree.

Things are moving quickly and now Goal Italy journalist, Romeo Agresti, took to Twitter to confirm that the 26-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Old Lady – and he’ll earn €9m (£8.2m) per-year after leaving Manchester for Turin.

Lukaku isn’t a bad striker. It’s just that the fans haven’t fully taken to the ex-Everton man. Perhaps it’s the sometimes lazy attitude, perhaps it’s the awful first-touch. However, the goal record speaks for itself – 42 in 96 games isn’t to be sniffed at under any circumstance.

If the deal does happen then he’ll leave Old Trafford with my blessing and I’ll wish him well, perhaps even moreso if him going means a certain Argentinian hot-shot is heading the other way as part of a swap deal…
