Luke Shaw given Manchester United return date by Louis van Gaal

Manchester United Football Club have finally given Luke Shaw a return date from his injury – the Europa League final. Louis van Gaal was asked about when to expect him to return, and the Iron Tulip responded by telling the press he could return on the last day of the season.

“Shaw can play in the final [Europa League], I have said to him. That gives him spirit and a goal that he has to live for and it is not impossible.” Louis van Gaal said.

Although its unlikely we’ll see Luke Shaw play for Manchester United in the Premier League again, its reassuring that he could return in some capacity this term.

Breaking you’re leg is obviously one of the more serious injuries a professional footballer can suffer, so he’ll need plenty of time back in training before he is at a strong enough level to play competitive matches.

Hopefully the process is all going well for the 20-year old. There is no pressure on him to return this season, just as long he gets a good pre-season under his belt and can return next term.
