Manchester United Football Club dropped yet another two points at home yesterday, with Jose Mourinho’s men succumbing to the pressure of a drab 0-0 draw at Old Trafford. West Bromwich Albion more than deserved their point, and credit to them for that.
There was, once again, a notable exclusion, with Luke Shaw left out of the squad completely. Even though, there were the likes of Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Matty Willock named on the bench ahead of him.
Now, the Irish Independent have had their say and it certainly spells bad news for the talented left-back. They say that Shaw wasn’t left out due to injury, but instead, the manager chose to left him out regardless…
This definitely must be a concern for the 22-year-old, as it just seems like Mourinho doesn’t fancy him as a player. In my opinion, Shaw has always been the most talented left-back in our squad, but Jose Mourinho watches him every day in training and he obviously thinks different.
So much so that the likes of Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo have been deployed as a makeshift left-back over Shaw, and in my opinion, the writing is firmly on the wall for the young star. I personally wouldn’t be surprised to see him sold off this summer.
