Manchester United Football Club suffered their worst defeat under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford last night.
In a mad five minutes, Spurs took a two-goal lead and never looked back; before sticking the knife in with another strike in the dying embers.
Perhaps the only player to come away from the game with any credit was Luke Shaw. The talented left-back buccaneered up and down that left-flank all game, looking a threat in an offensive capacity while defending diligently for the most part.
Following the defeat, Shaw took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the fans. At the end of the day, it would have hurt him just as much as it hurt us.
Last night hurt. But I just wanna thank the fans for your amazing support it doesn’t go unnoticed. We will bounce back ??❤️

In terms of positives. The future is bright for him. Following a few bad years, largely due to injuries, he’s back on the right track. We all know just how good Shaw is talent-wise.
The ex-Southampton man has made that left-back slot his own, which wouldn’t have been easy given how much Mourinho trusts Ashley Young in that area of the field.
What was glorious to see following the game last night was Shaw was the first player that the manager ran straight towards. That’s a real vote of confidence.
