Manchester United players are having an excellent World Cup. From Romelu Lukaku’s four-goal haul to Jesse Lingard’s screamer against Panama. Now, Marcos Rojo has gotten in on the act.
Argentina have been massively struggling over in Russia, but a 2-1 victory against Nigeria was enough to see them through to the knockout round. The late winner came from the Red Devils centre-half, and what a stunning strike it was.
The former Sporting Lisbon man found himself in the penalty box as the ball was whipped in. Rojo took it on the volley and sent the South American fans absolutely mental, as their place in the last sixteen was guaranteed.
It wasn’t just his heroics that got people talking, either. His game as a whole was excellent. Rojo was diligent in defending, great in the air and he was willing to bark orders at his teammates from time-to-time. That match-winning display has probably secured his spot in the team for their all-important game against France at the weekend, and what a mouthwatering tie we have in store.
For now, though, enjoy the best reactions across social media to Rojo’s wonder strike. Personally, I’m gutted he hasn’t done that for United yet!

When Rojo hit that I honestly thought it must be Aguero.
Take a bow son. Nights won't get much better than this for him
