Manchester United Football Club could be about to lose one footballing powerhouse; be it Jose Mourinho or Paul Pogba.
However, it’s the latter who’s head could be on the chopping block. According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have set an eye-watering figure in excess of £200million to sell Paul Pogba.
Ironically, it was Mourinho who brought the Frenchman to the club during his first season at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old could well be the self-proclaimed Special One’s downfall.
With three years remaining on his current United deal, the club are in no rush to let him go. With that said, if they can get double what they paid for him, plus a fair chunk extra, Edward Woodward must be tempted.
If we look at performances, can you genuinely say that Pogba has played well? Do you think he has improved the team? My answer to both would be no. Sure, that may well be down to the manager, but there have been some good performances from the Frenchman from time-to-time, so I’m not convinced.
Say FC Barcelona come knocking with an offer of £200million next summer, with no international tournament and ample time to sort out a replacement, I wouldn’t be surprised to see United take it.
