Madrid offer just £14million for De Gea

Manchester United are looking resigned to losing David de Gea this summer, with Marca reporting that the Spaniard has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, and the clubs now only need to agree a fee.

Today we’ve been given more news about De Gea’s potential move, and once again it comes from Marca. They say that Real Madrid have offered just €20million [£14million] for the 24-year old keeper, which quite frankly is a bit of an insult.

I understand that they’ll want to get De Gea for the best possible price, but £14million is an absolute joke of a fee.

If they aren’t willing to up their offer, then I’d like to see United stand firm, keep him for another season and then let him go on a free transfer next season.

At the end of the day he could earn us more than that £14million fee single-handedly, so its a risk well worth taking.
